Máire holds a Masters in Writing from NUI, Galway. She was a finalist in the 2008 Fish Publishing Micro Fiction Showcase and won third prize in the 2009 Writing Spirit Award. In 2010 she was shortlisted for the inaugural WOW! Awards run by Galway-based publisher WordsontheStreet. One of her short stories will be included in their upcoming anthology. She works in The Irish Writers' Centre on a voluntary basis.
