Máire is originally from Dublin. She lives in Galway city, where she graduated from the Masters in Writing at NUIG in 2008. She has written freelance articles for The Southside People, Tribevibes and Verbal Magazine. Her fiction has appeared in The Sharp Review and Foiseach. She was one of the winners of the 2008 Fish Publishing Micro Fiction Showcase and was long-listed for the 2008 Over the Edge New Writer of the Year competition
